CHIC EVENT: Sista's Connect/ Shop Twice Boutique !!

Last Thursday night I attended an event called, "Sista's Connect/Shop Boutique"

This event was held at Twice Boutique, which is located off South Street, 611 South 4th St, Philadelphia PA. It gave woman the chance to chat, shop, network, but overall to have a great time! You didn't have to be " In the industry" This event is for ALL WOMAN! Its a motivating, and inspiring event!

Entering the boutique, you immediately felt like you've known the ladies forever! It was a great feeling!

We discussed everything, topics from shopping (Well of course), our companies, and businesses, today's news, and plenty more! All in all it was a GREAT NIGHT!  Met some wonderful empowering woman!

The boutique was chic, colorful and full of options! It carries today's clothing, as well as awesome vintage pieces.We all know how I LOVE Vintage pieces!

Fashiongasm! Ying Edge 2012 s/s Collection "Fallen's Peak"

CEO and Head Designer of Ying Edge, Bishme Cromartie was born February 16, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland.  

 Staying with his aunt in New Burgh, New York during his Summer break. She taught him the basics of sewing.  By the end of the summer, Bishme returned to Baltimore armed with the skill of basic sewing. He started off sewing very basic things, like pillow cases, and customized denim. After receiving a sewing machine for a gift, Bishme began making clothes for family and friends. After a year or so he was approached about making a summer dress for which he would be paid. (His first paying customer!)  Using his self-taught sewing skills and those he learned from his aunt, he completed the dress. His customer was so happy and pleased with the dress; she told him he should make clothes for everyone.


After a few more years of practice, Bishme came up with the name for his clothing line: YING EDGE. 

 

This collection is BEYOND! Ying Edge showed in Philly Fashion Week Couture Runway Show. Boy am I glad that I could see this collection in person! He takes such pride in all of the little details. Very well put together. Defenitly one of my favorite collections that I've seen this far!

This past Friday I had the honor of styling Jason C. Peters, a Celebrity Designer, and New York Socialite.

November 11, 2011 The "Fashion Diaspora: Wearing Your Culture on Your Sleeve" charity gala, was held at The Yale Club in New York City

Jason, was the celebrity guest, and also modeled in the show! I styled his red carpet look, which was a really relaxed outfit. He's a big fan on being comfortable, no matter where he's going!!

Jason has his own accessory, and clothing line, which has become very successful!

His pieces are One- of- a- Kind!!

Styled By Kia Denise: Sneak Peak!

Today I had the pleasure of styling Emma!

She's a model/actress. Today we shot with Jim Cottingham, and MUA/Hair Stylist Jenelle Laws. 

We did our "On Location" shots in Old City, Philadelphia. It was a brisk afternoon, but not too cold. It was quite an experience, everyone kept looking to see what was going on. We caught alot of people attention! All in all it was a great time!

These shots were for Emma to take to a couple of big modeling agencies out New York! We stuck with casual fall looks! Tons of layers, sweaters, scarfs, hats, and gloves!
